This passes through Forest Row (opposite Brambletye) at 08:32am and continues via Lindfield and Haywards Heath to Brighton. Get off at the "Lindfield Adj West Common Drive" stop, arriving at 09:00am. From the nearby mini-roundabout walk down Appledore Gardens and Oathall Community College is just past the end of this road. I'm tempted to try this myself because the connections are good, but not too tight, and should work smoothly.
