आदिवासींची तहान भागणार
पाणी दरावरून वादाची शक्यता : डहाणू-पालघरच्या २९ गावांची बडापोखरण पाणी योजना ४२ कोटींचा खर्च ठाणे : जिल्ह्यातील डहाणू आणि पालघर तालुक्यांतील आदिवासीबहुल बडापोखरणसह २९ गावांच्या ग्रामीण पाणीपुरवठा योजनेसाठी पाणीपुरवठा आणि स्वच्छता विभागाने अखेर ४३ कोटी २८ लाख ३९ हजारांच्या निधीस गुरुवारी मान्यता दिली. लोकवर्गणीच्या सहकार्याने ही पाणीपुरवठा योजना राबवण्यात येणार असून ती पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर या २९ गावांतील पाणीटंचाई दूर होण्यास मदत होणार आहे. ही संपूर्ण योजना साखरे धरणातील पाणीसाठय़ावर अवलंबून राहणार असून या धरणात बारमाही पाणी उपलब्ध राहील आणि ते पाणी राखीव असेल, याची खातरजमा करण्याच्या सूचना जीवन प्राधिकरणास देण्यात आल्या आहेत. समाधानाची बाब म्हणजे या योजनेतून देण्यात येणारे पाणी १00 टक्के घरगुती वापरासाठी राखीव राहणार असल्याचे याबाबतच्या आदेशात पाणीपुरवठा विभागाने स्पष्ट केले आहे. या योजनेचा संपूर्ण खर्च केंद्र सरकारच्या पेयजल योजना कार्यक्रमांतर्गत केंद्र सरकार आणि जिल्हा नियोजन मंडळाने फिफटी-फिफटी सहकार्याने उभा करावयाचा आहे.
