Dear All, Article 350 (A) of the constitution directs primary education to be given in the mother tongue of the students. Also Article 350 (B) mandates appointment of Linguistic Minority officer. But it seems nowhere this directive has been implemented. This is the only reason that today several of tribal languages are on the brink of extinction. Also, the tribal are forced to study something which is alien to them. Any Advocate in the group, if you could throw more light on the subject?
