I agree with you in general, Ian. CLUE should be proposing some basic standards/agreements so that the Canada's LUGs can cooperate. The advantages of Zope or PHP is a waste of time. The objective is to get people working and to capitalize on their interest in resurrecting CLUE. So let Bill pick--anything, it doesn't matter what--and call it a day. If it doesn't scale up to CLUE's needs, it will be apparent soon enough to the people doing the actual web design. There's no point in second-guessing what web projects CLUE will be involved in, or argue about theoretical performance for a web site that doesn't exist yet. I should probably follow this up with a concrete proposal, but I've got to get ready for the PegaSoft meeting tomorrow. Surely someone will take the lead. Back to lurking... Ken B. -- Ken O.
