  This is a great idea.  Locally in Ottawa I have set up a
[EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list for this same type of purpose.  It
was started not so much as a help-area, but as a place where we can pass
contract possibilities on to each other.  Some of us have a TODO that is
too long already.  We would very much prefer that any potential customer
that comes our way ends up with a fellow Linux/OpenSource/FreeSoftware
consultant rather than ending up with a MSCE or worse..

  Ethics is a rather personal thing.  You'll want to define membership
criteria for a SIG, and totally avoid the phrase 'ethics'.
