Thanks for your help. I checked the compatible cards and mine is not on it - it has USB support only. I have my VCR plugged into the Plextor ConvertX which is then plugged into my PC via USB. I've tried capturing videos (I'm new at this) and and it does a great job. I have to see how to dump the files to AVI format (if it isn't already doing this) using the software I have (Roxio 6 and 7 and Intervideo). I was planning on using Adobe to clean up some of our old faily videos.

By the way, where did you find a DV camera or tape deck with USB outputs? I've only seen Firewire connections on all the DV decks I've worked with, including the Sony DSR-30, DSR-40, and DSR-45. How are you planning to route your video from Firewire to USB in the first place? Is there a way for me to record my videos (VCR is plugged in to the card). It seems Premiere will only work with IEEE cable. Is there a USB option somewhere? Or should I try a different software product? Thanks. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
