What problem are you having with pixel aspect ratio in Premiere Pro?
ALL footage imported into Premiere Pro maintains pixels aspect ratio.
There is no need for a separate option to turn it on! The only way not
to maintain pixel aspect is to turn off "Uniform Scale" in the motion
effects option. Even then, the pixel aspect is still adjusted
correctly. This is how it should be! Also, make sure your clips
(stills, video, etc.) have the correct pixel aspect ratio associated
with in in the project bin. Just select the clip and at the top it will
list the size in pixels and then in parenthesis, it will list the PAR.
If it is not listed, then the clip is set to square pixels.
There is no need to keep 6.5 is that is all you are using it for!
As mentioned earlier, when you drag an image to the timeline, Premiere
Pro will "shrink to fit" your clips if you turn on "Scale clips to
project dimensions when adding to sequence". Otherwise, Premiere Pro
will not scale the clip and you will be "zoomed in" so the pixels are
about 1 for 1 between your still image and your project. Changing this
option does not change the clips already in the sequence, it only set
the default for the clips when you add them to the timeline.
