I tried renaming my executable in 7.0 and the system became progressively more unstable. Strange things were happening right and left. Finally, it stopped recognizing my DVD burner. Spent the better part of an entire day on the phone with Microsoft's SP2 tech support team and they finally referred me to their "research" section. At that point I said "#*$% it", bought a USB HDD drive, backed up all my data files to it, formatted my computer's HDD and did a clean reinstall of Windows XP Pro WITHOUT SP2. Beware of renaming the executable in 7.0. May not be a swell idea. The allergic reaction of SP2 to 7.0 is serious bidness. --- Amit Dogra <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
