to all,

thank you in kind for your help and advice. i used all of your tips (ie.
cross disolving audio cuts, etc.) the final workaround came at 7am this
morning. for some reason, the clips and skips occured in the final output
movie, BUT once the movie is burned to a DVD (with a DVD interface) the
entire movie is completely cleaned up. I can't explain it, but it's like

Where are the skippings and poppings occuring? They usually happen
at the beginning of edited audio clips. It could just be in the preview,
possibly not the final product?

To be safe, it's always a good idea to add cross dissolves to the
beginnings and end of audio clips, even 2 or 3 frame dissolves, to help
minimize this problem.

audio) changing the interleave to "1 frame" and bumping processing
options up to "best," and while this helps i still get skipping and popping.
