Try connecting some RCA cables from your source player's audio output to the DCR-C330's audio input. The S-video cables only carry video to the handycam, no audio. I'm assuming that you are using a firewire cable to go from the handycam to your computer, so you don't have to worry about audio cables there, since firewire carries audio with it.
