Buy your stuff online from an American store, pay in Dollars. Buy from the
cheapest source you can find. Forget about warranty issues. I bought lots
of equipment directly from Sony in Holland, almost every item got some kind
of problem just after warranty period expired, and Sony wouldn't fix things
unless I paid for it.
If you can save around 50% by buying overseas, then if the thing gets
broken, just buy a new one and keep the other for spare parts.
I should also mention that Norway has very strict customs, very eager to
charge importing duties. Do you have friends just at the other side of your
borders?
