Hey guys,
I have been gone for 10 days and I know that this thread is a dead
one, but I want you all to that you have converted me (read
paranoid) from using paper labels. I am in the process of recording
120 DVD's for a local high school, and the fear of what "one of
those paper labels" might do scared me.
It all happened quite innocently. I went to my local super supply
store to buy ink for my HP printer that I used to happily print
paper labels on. I have always been quite an HP guy, although I do
not like the cost of their ink. The ink alone was going to cost me
almost $70 (US). That day, an Epson sales rep was on site so I
asked about printers that could print onto DVDs. He led me to the
Epson Photo R200. I was impressed especially since a new R200 fully
armed with ink was just $99. There was no real decision there. I
picked up 100 printable DVDs (that was all they had in stock at the
time) and went on my merry way.
I must admit, they look good, and they are easy to make. But what
is so nice about the printer is never, NEVER, having to worry about
a label coming off. Thank you so much for converting me.
