It plays fine when viewing in the monitor, but when I drag it to the
timeline, the audio sounds like weird static. I coverted the file to
MPEG1 and the audio works fine...Anyone know what might be the
problem?
Saffron,
I had a similar problem awhile back & it ended up being the fact that my audio
was sampled at 44.1k & not the 48k that my program wanted (and what would match
my DV footage audio). Go into your project settings, go to audio, and increase
your rate conversion to good or best. If this doesn't work, change the setting
back to off because it takes up processing power. If you can't find the
setting let me know... I don't have Premiere open right now, but I'm pretty
sure that's where the setting is. It may not work, but it's worth a shot.
AVI is what you want to be working with.
