Hello Howard,
First click the triangle next to the audio track name to show the full
options. The second icon on the bottom line (Show Keyframes) will have a
red circle with a slash through it, click on this icon and you will see an
option to "Show Clip Volume" Select this and the clips volume "rubberband"
will be displayed.
Use the pen tool to edit. Holding down the control key with the pen tool
will allow you to add keyframes, right clicking on the keyframes will give
you bezier options. Note that keyframes added this way will also appear in
the audio's effects control window and can also be adjusted there.
