Even better, if you are using Premiere 1.5, it stores all capture in and capture out points with the clip in the project window. So you can remove the media from harddrive, and save your project file. There's no need to export the project file to any other format. Because when you open the project a year from now, you can click all of the "offline" clips in the project window and choose to batch capture them.
In the old days of Premiere, there was a separate "batch list" which was a text file of all the in and out points from the tape. However, now-a-days, that information is saved as part of the project file. So you can just backup the project file, and nothing else. (The project file, by the way, is just a bunch of .xml text, so it is usually 1MB or smaller. Rarely above 5 or 6MB.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Someone from the Petting Zoo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 2:56 PM Subject: Re: Re: [AP] Project info "I am trying to "back up" information needed to recreate a project, so the project info, such as timecodes for the begin-end of a clip, would be available to re-capture the clip if necessary." Oh, I think that's just a matter of exporting an Edit Decision List. Try doing that for your project and then re-creating your project anew and see if that gives you what you want. monkey decision list, Edward -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Because sometimes, you just HAVE to make movies. http://www.Guerrilla-Productions.org/ Yahoo!
