Jack,

Thanks for your reply. I need to video the ANIMATED PowerPoint
slides, not stills, and RoadRunner told me I could use an app
called Camtasia, which is what I need. Thanks.

Gary

? Yes, there is a way to get animated PowerPoint slides into Premiere.? This is
how I do it.
I capture the animation with a program called CAMTASIA 2.0
Once I capture the activity on my monitor screen, I save it as an .avi file.?
Then I bring the .avi
file into Premiere.

Camtasia is a "screen capturing" software.? But, it captures more than static
still images.? It captures
all of the motion that goes on while using your computer monitor.? Camtasia is
one of several programs
that are used by computer training companies to teach people how to use
software.? Several companies
have used Camtasia to put together a training DVD that teaches people how to
use various versions
of Premiere.

The company called Video Professor that teaches people how to use microsoft
software such as ACCESS,
POWERPOINT, WORD, EXCEL, and FRONTPAGE uses Camtasia to create these training
programs which that burn to a CD or a DVD.

A lot of times you can purchase Camtasia from Ebay at a reduced price.? Or you
can go to their website and purchase it online or by snail mail.? You can
download a trial version for free and try it out for 30 days.? If you are a
student or a teacher you can purchase it at half price.? I can't remember
exactly how much I paid for it, I think it was around $150 because I bought it
at student rate.? Full retail price is $300.

There are some other programs that do the same thing, some cheaper, some more
expensive.? But, it seems like Camtasia is the most popular program and very
stable.
