I agree with Jeff and woukd like toadd..
When "Station" has a "prefered tape" it's because thats the equipment they have
to play tape back on. BetaSP/Umatic has a low signal to noise ratio and has
been on the market for years so thats what most small stations use. I do hear
that DV/DVCam is making in-roads because its cheap prices on tape stock,
playback equipment, long MTBF's and takes up less room when stored.
