Ihor-- as someone else mentioned, the red box around it is a red herring in your investigation. Nothing to do with the issue you are having.
The thing to determine is: Is it the project, is the clips you are working with, or is it the transition? If you can answer these questions it would help: If you create a new project, or open an old project, does this cross dissolve transitio work? If you use different clips, does the transition work? If you completely remove the transition, and reapply it, does it work? You said you had opened the transition window. It could be that you set your transition Start and End percentages both at 100%.
