Thanks for all the answers...

LINDA:
When exporting I can only choose .avi or different (still) image
formats. How do I chose to export as a Quicktime file?
Working with 1000+ still image files seems like too much work, so I
would prefere to work in a video format.

JOHN:
The term "normal" was only use to differentiate it from the alpha
channel (and maybe the fact that I'm from Denmark, so my english
isn't that got, and I wasn't able to find a better word). It does
seem that particleIllusion hasn't got very good export options, but
otherwise it's a very nice app, which I'm very happy to have found,
so I would be very happy to find a solution to my problem.

JASON:
I've tried to use the Screen Key, but nothing happens. The black
background stays black. Using the Chroma Key, I can remove the black
and make things "work", but when I need to use smoke or fire, I
don't things this will work properly (partial transparency through
the smoke etc.).

JEFF:
I'm using Pro 1.5, and the .avi files is 24bit (don't know if that's
million+ or just million), but it doesn't seem to have an alpha
channel in the file.

If Premiere isn't able to "merge" the two seperate .avi files
("normal" and alpha channel) particleIllusion is able to create,
does anybody know of another app which is able to do this?
