Don,
By "pulling clips off a DVD" are you referring to using a section of video
that has already been produced & mastered onto a DVD? If so, and I know this
is going to sound extremely barbaric, but... why not play & record the DVD back
into a camera & then re capture whatever footage you need? If you have a DVD
player w/firewire out, you can probably just re capture right from the DVD.
