Eddy-- how did you export your video from Premiere? Can you list the export
settings you use? It sounds as if your setings didn't match the 720 x 480
requirements for encoding to the MPEG2 format for DVD.

At a minimum, assuming you are in NTSC:
File type: Microsoft DV AVI
720 x 480
29.97 fps (or 23.978, I think if you have pulldown on)
Lower field first
Audio 48KHz or 32KHz, 16bit or 12bit, uncompressed

If you have Premiere Pro, it probably won't let you choose a compressor
(codec). This is because Microsoft DV AVI file type assumes a DV compressor.
Older versions of Premiere may require you to specify both a file type and
compressor of DV.

Hope this helps. -jeff

Subject: [AP] premiere & encore

Hello,

Has anybody tried exporting a project from Premiere 1.5 to Adobe Encore
1.0. I tried exporting my project from Premiere in a AVI file but the
picture quality is poor. I then used mpeg but Adobe Encore has a window that
pops up saying project must be 720X420. Can anybody please help?

  Thanks
