I was reffering to the fact that thr Canon chipset utilizes a native 16x9 and
the DVX shoots 4x3 and black bands the top and bottom areas to give a rough
16x9. more to my eye as a 185:1.

I just used Premiere's camera view to zoom to match.

Thanks,

Kent

 Kent,

It is not immediately obvious to me why 16:9 from your XL2 should be any
different from 16:9 from your DVX100A. Can you please explain what problem
you are seeing.

I'm trying to intercut XL2 16x9 with DVX100A 16x9, which of course means
two totally different aspect ratios. Anyone found a simple formula to
match these and maintain the 16x9?

Thanks

Kent Hughes
