I have three LaCie Firewire drives that I use and one Maxtor Duo. All
work well right now. I like the Maxtor the best, probably because the
USB 2.0 connection seems more reliable than the Firewire connections.
I also had one of the LaCie power supplies flake out on me
sporadically which caused real problems until I finally figured out
what was wrong and replaced it.
I have not had any experience with the LaCie USB drives.
