In my experience, rendering is affected much more by processor speed,
memory, video card, and system resources, more so than the number of hard
drives. (Hard drives can affect capture performance and playback of rendered
files, however.)

Your processor listed sounds plenty fast, and you have lots of memory. My
initial thought is--you might just not realize how slow the rendering
process is. Effects take a *long* time to render, no matter the system.
Could you give examples of clip durations and the effects you are applying,
and how long it takes to render?

I believe investing in a second hard drive--while a good idea from a storage
stand point--will not yield a significant increase in rendering time. I just
hate to see you spend more money on a second drive, only to find out that
the rendering speed doesn't change.

So Do you think if I get a second Hard Disk would be much better?

Sometimes when I apply for a Premiere Pro video effect it became very
slowly and I spend a lot of time to finish the video. I'm working with a
HP
  laptop: P4 3.2 HT, 100GB (4.200rph), 10048mb, Radeon IGP 9000 (128mb
  shared)...

Does someone know why it happens with my Premiere Pro? Can some of you
help
  with this issue?
