I have never had or solved this problem but wonder if this might be worth a
try.....
Using your new PP 2.0, create a NEW batch capture file containing, say, one
entry to capture a clip from the cassette in question.
If that works correctly and it can 'find' the device on which the tape is
being played, and captures the clip as required, try the following:-
Open your original batch capture file (the PP 1.0 version), highlight and
copy (ctrl-C) the timecode and other information to your clipboard. Then
paste it into the new PP 2.0 batch capture file after the info which worked.
Assuming that the format of the info is similar between PP 1.0 and 2.0 then
it might work. Worth a try!

Yes I've tried to create a new project and then importing the old one. But
no luck.
I also tried re-copying the project file from the backup media.
