thanks guys for the feedback..

272 is correct, and yea its wide screen (very wide), that its an 'mpg', got
by me cuz my pc reads the file as an .avi.

Guess i'm have to figure out this program Procoder, then... Geez, I kinda get
tired of having to learn all this software just to transode things, lol.

FYI=, Windows Media Maker accepted this file, and rendered it back out with
only one problem, it was out of sync.. Its looks good though, I'm playing with
the sync in Premiere.. Go Figure!

  Thanks,
  Frank

          Frank,
You may want to check on those dimensions. What you gave would give a
very wide, but short, video, with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Is this a
widescreen clip? Or, maybe you meant to type 640x472? You also may
want to convert the clip from the MPEG-4 to an AVI format to make it
easier on Premiere. For that, you'll want to use ProCoder 2. However,
I think the fact that your clip is an MPEG-4 is the cause of the
majority of your problems.

Good luck,
Glen in Vegas
