Another reason to start with one of these suggestions (I have both and use 
DVDit 6 now) is if you haven't bought or aren't about to buy Premiere Pro 2 
in our outside of the Production Suite. I'm still using an old version 
of  Premiere and getting DVDit 6 on sale made much more sense to me that 
spending many hundreds more for the bundle. If you want and can afford the 
current Adobe suite it's a great package. If you don't want it or can't 
afford it you'll get great features from DVDit and ease of use from its 
little brother MyDVD.
