In Premiere Pro 2.0, if you select a clip in the project panel and choose
Clip > Audio Options you will see the Source Channel Mappings choice. Make
sure the clip is selected in the Project panel first.

I seem to recall that this was covered earlier but not sure. How do I
convert a Mono sound track to Stereo? I went to Clip/Audio Options...but I
only am able to access "Audio Gain" and not "Source Channel Mappings" where,
I understand, I can convert it to Stereo. The clip is in the project panel
only and not on the timeline, yet I can only access "Audio Gain". What am I
doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
