Linda,

Thanks so much for the list of plug-ins. I currently have Canopus FX and some
of the Prodad ones. I am totally addicted to my hobby and even though it's
only for fun or else to make a show for friends (for free), I put a TON of time
and money into this. Right now I have Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, Photoshop CS3,
Particle Illusion 3.0, Proshow Producer, and the list goes on. lol

Never enough software or time!

Thanks again,

Jean

  I've got HFX Silver v4.5.8.

I bought the original many years ago for an earlier editing system. When I
got Premiere 4 years ago, I just did an internet search on advice to get it
working. At some point Pinnacle took it over, and then abandoned it.

I'm not sure of the exact steps, but roughly, you'd install it as normal,
then copy the .prm file from it's plugin directory into the PPro plugin
  directory.

So I have fx-5Hfx4SLV.prm in the PPRo plugin directory.

A quick search this morning shows that it's very hit and miss, and so it
might be a risk to buy.

To be honest, 99% of the moves are very cheesy, and I'd never touch them.
There's just one or two that are useful. Mainly I use Boris FX.

Here's a list of plugins PPro is supposed to like:

Yes, Linda, which version? I see they have it available now pretty
cheap--$29 on a couple of sites. But I don't know which version will or
  won't work.

  Hi Linda,

How did you go about installing FX? I'd love to get it, but was told it
  wouldn't work with Premiere.

  Thanks,

  Jean
