You would think they would not change themselves but the mysteries of the 
computer age mean that sometimes things happen that are hard to 
explain...Check project setting, audio. playback I think...however the fact 
they wont play back in windows media is kind of worrisome. I can't remember if 
you said you had ever heard audio out of them at any time; is this the case?
