I think in order to capture consistently and with reasonable quality you need 
to capture through firewire. I had a similar set up some years back and it 
never worked, either well enough or at all. It has been awhile since so my 
recall isnt bang on. I think Dazzle also captures to mpeg but that may not be a 
problem to the elements version from what I recall on the packaging I read one 
day.
