I'm using Premiere Pro CS3. I have a sequence of about 70 takes that
I've laid down on one video line, cut to cut. I want to have the
original time code numbers (same as the ones written to the tapes when
shot on location) to be placed in the final edited footage. (I'm
going to make a VCR tape with a time code window showing so my client
can do a paper EDL.) Presently, I can get the time code to show up on
each take, however when I drop in the time code effect it's always the
CLIP type, not the MEDIA type. I need the MEDIA type so the same time
code is on the edited version as the original footage. I can go in and
change each take one at a time from CLIP to MEDIA, but with 70 takes
it's taking a while. Isn't there a setting somewhere that I can just
make it come up MEDIA vs Clip every time that I insert the timecode
effect. I went to FILE>TIMECODE, but it's just grayed out and will not
activate. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Mark
