DVD Shrink just rip the DVD content without CSS to store the DVD content in
harddrive. It is still the same Video_TS and .VOB files.

DVD Shrink is freeware and can rip just the main movie, so that gets rid of
menus and other things. You can also choose which audio stream(s) you want and
can eliminate subtitles too.

The problem with this app is it hasn't been updated in a while and doesn't work
with many newer DVDs.

DVD Fab will work with newer DVDs and is regularly updated, but it's not
freeware.
