possibly there is someone who may not realize that both 1440x1080 pixel
ratio 1.333 and 1920x1080 pixel ratio 1.0 are 16:9 widescreen formats.

Right. And another issue that keeps one on their feet is that the content
ratios may vary. For instance my JVC cameras can produce either 1440x1080
with pixel ratio 1.33 or 1920x1080 pixel ratio 1.0 (square). Adobe Premiere
Pro can accommodate them both, of course. But a computer monitor is always
(I believe) square pixels so the software must be doing a little bit of
conversion when displaying non-square pixels on a computer screen, but doing
a different conversion when writing to a DVD for ultimate wide-screen TV
presentation.
