Speaking of which, I am just amazed at how much useful information is
in the B&H catalog.  Lighting and other tutorials are all over the
thing.

If you can get your hands on a catalog, then I suggest it.  I think
their website also hosts their tutorials.

And the lighting tips can not only help you on set, but understanding
them helps you work out lighting issues and color correction so much
easier!
