I do not have an answer to that question but I imported the mpeg into premiere

Thanks,

Sorry, I don't have a Sony but the question to ask is why are there two file
types? For my cameras (JVC) there are two files types also, but one of them
is smaller and is some sort of camera-specific file that gets discarded,
only the mpeg gets imported into Premiere. Is it possible that is the case
with the modd since you already have an mpeg?

Subject: [AP] NEED HELP WITH MODD. EXT

Hello Friends,

I just recorded a church service for my church with a sony DCR-SR42.
And then downloaded the file with the software that came with the camera
but I can't get premiere cs3 to recognise the modd file included in the
download. Premiere cs3 did recognise the mpeg file but did not
recognise the modd file.
Could someone help me with this problem.

Thanks,
