Hi.. thanks for the help.. I got the tab vs. mouse problem solved by changing
the monitor resolution.
I googled Vegas vs. Adobe Premier CS4 and the critique I liked favored Adobe
Premier "because you can flip in and out of After Effects." The computer I
bought came with a new version of Adobe CS4. So it was a pretty good deal. I'm
pretty sure its the full version, but I still have some comparison issues
switching from Vegas.
The source window plays back really loud sometimes and I can't get the audio
faders up front and the video playing back at the same time. So I have to go
outside of Adobe Premiere to adjust the playback volume of the Source window.
Anyway, I'm beginning to see this program might work. The reason I had my
doubts was that Vegas seemed so Easy. Well I guess that's because i had a lot
of practise with it not that it was that easy.
However my biggest gripe with Premiere Pro is that the playback is either
very fragile, or I have to adjust some settings.
If its playing back and I move or resize the playback window it stops. I was
going to say that even if I touch it, it stops, but just now I find that I can
even click on it and it continues playback.
If I touch anything in the timeline it stops too.
So if I could set the playback at industrial strength that would be great.
thanks if anybody has any ideas. Maybe one more monitor resolution change
would do it.
thanks
paul
