Lee and Rieni,

I am not in principle sour about updates having happily gone through
too many in
my life already (from 8mm film to now AVCHD). It is just a fact that
these updates
are launched at shorter and shorter intervals.
I understand that technology is advancing and that supporting softwares
will have
to follow suit.
I also realized and accepted that a year ago when I changed to AVCHD I would
need new editing software and got CS5.
CS5 is working well and is very stable so I don't think that I will very
quickly spend
more money on an upgrade. But then, I am not the measure. Having checked
the new
features I find that most of them are not necessary for what I am doing.
After all PPRO is a professional software that has to satisfy production
houses and
for them the cost for upgrades are peanuts.
Just a question: Are all upgrades really necessary? I can not remember
when Audition
was replaced with Soundbooth but now in CS5.5 we are back with Audition,
no more
Soundbooth.
Is that bad Market research, bad programming or did the upgrade come too
soon?
In the meantime all those programmers involved had to be paid although
that is still
better than paying some criminal bankers (ha,ha).

These are also just some thoughts. Upgrades are not my problem and yes,
Rieni,
I will only buy something when I am sure I will really need it and right
now I have all I need
(but the Warp stabilizer in AE would be nice to have:-( )

Uwe
