This doesn't make any sense - why do you have to monkey around with dll
files? Windows and many applications make use of dll (Dynamically Linked
Library) files to contain the executable' s of the program, and it is the
installation program that copies dll's from a dvd into the proper location
on the hard drive. Worse, sometimes entries must be made in the Window's
registry, so merely copying them to the c drive may not work. You do not
need to copy them directly.
When you install CS5.5 you will need to activate it. Start an application
such as Premiere Pro and click on the Help menu item and notice the menu
item Activate. Click on that to activate. Have you done that step already?
Is that what you mean by "asking me for serial number"? By the way, if you
had a prior version on the computer, you need to deactivate it before you
install CS5.5.

Subject: [AP] I am a beginner
I just recently installed the Adobe premiere pro CS5.5 on my computer, but
whenever i restart the computer it keeps asking me for serial number which i
have already used, I did some research and found what i am supposed to
do..........Copy the 32/64 or both dll files and paste and replace each of
the dll files
in the Adobe programe directory, there may be more than one for each app so
use windows serch to find them all, there are original dll files also that
can be used for repairs should you make any errors...........the only
problem is i dont know where the Adobe programe directory is.....i need
help, and i use a windows 7 OS.
