Paul, Usually the audio track 1 is a stereo track and if your sound has been recorded as stereo it should go to there. You have three types of audio tracks in Premiere, Stereo, Mono and 5.1. If you have recorded in mono your audio will go to the first mono track, which could possibly be track 4. You can move audio from one track to any other track as long it is stereo to stereo or mono to mono. You will find different symbols on the left hand side. A stereo track has two triangles pointing at each other, a mono track has only one triangle. You can add or delete tracks. When adding a track you have to specify whether it should be a stereo, mono or 5.1 track.
Please explain in more detail what you mean by "ok otherwise.....etc" Uwe > Paul > > 1.
