I don't think there is a way to explicitly save them. On my machine the
Preferences file is located in .user > AppData > Roaming > Adobe >
PremierePro > 5.5 and its name is Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs, hopefully your
changes will be there. Unfortunately I have no idea where to look for the
Matrox settings - sorry - but as a minimum you should be able to verify
PremierePro is updating the file by verifying the date/time stamp via
Windows Explorer.

Subject: [AP] Premiere Preferences Change
Hello all,
I installed Adobe Prd. bundle 5.5 and had issues with Premiere. I finally
did a total clean install but still have one issue. I have a Matrox capture
box and when I go in the preferences in Premiere 5.5 and set everything to
Matrox, in the audio and the player, all seem to work fine. I had issues
with renders and exporting when they were not on Matrox. The problem now is
when I close Premiere and re-open it, Pr. doesn't keep my audio preferences
to play in Matrox. This causes the above problems. Why is it not keeping the
audio settings but the rest?
I have a new and updated win7, 16 Gb ram computer.Thanks.
