Interesting about using an SSD. For clarification, I assume you are using it for system, not video files. At 120GB it wouldn't go very far.
Here's an article I found recently but haven't read in depth yet http://www.windowsobserver.com/2011/01/16/how-to-use-an-ssd-drive-as-main-drive-for-windows-7/ This author mentions using an external USB drive for temp files and other less essential items. Maybe that would help with the space issue. I've become interested in SSDs myself.
