You say you're going back to tape. What kind of tape and how? Is your source footage field or frame based? Are you're fields set correctly in your sequence? NTSC is lower field for SD Upper field for HD. PAL is Upper field for both. Tape cannot record progressive frames.

Also the Quadro K2000 with its 2GB GDDR5 memory should also be adequate with Adobe’s Mercury Playback Engine. So yes, the CPU/graphics system you are using is “really fit for CS6”; you do not need another processor/GPU, and furthermore, I don’t think it is Premiere Pro CS6 per se, either. Whatever is causing this flickering is something else, you need not be concerned about the CPU/graphics hardware, nor about CS6 either. You didn’t mention anything about the disk drives and how they are allocated under Project > Project Settings > Scratch Settings, or the Media Cache under Edit > Preferences > Media. Also, ensure the settings under Project > Project Settings > General > Video Rendering and Playback > Renderer. These are just some very basic things to verify first. Possibly it may be a setting, or it may be something related to the format and codec’s of the source video and/or the format and codec’s of the target video. Perhaps one place to start may be to identify all the pertinent technical characteristics of the preferences, the source files, and the destination video files, and from that information someone on this board may be able to figure it out. (I have never dealt with tape and therefore cannot address tape issues, but there are many who are expert in that area.) What would happen if all rendering and exporting was done first to disk, and then as a final operation, copy the file to tape? (This wouldn't explain why CS3 works but CS6 doesn't, except perhaps that during CS3 days tape use was more common and by CS6 days the developers are beginning to forget about tape. I don't this to be true; I'm only wondering out loud.) (was to use the matrox card for real time editing where it would not render.) thanks in anticipation.
