Hmmm.. an odd one indeed.

Some of the pre-rendered AE templates do this sometimes here, might be due
to the lack of fonts though.

I think you have a better spec machine now, so AP shouldn't really grumble
at that.  It shouldn't be an issue here as I have pretty much the latest
tech and hardware, but it still begs the question, 'What is compatible?'

Have you tried Encore slideshow yet (if you have it) ?  That seems to work
brilliantly without a hitch...
