I used one briefly called Bandycam, was offered by giveawayoftheday.com 
  Haven't been able to find it since. Seems to have disappeared from the 
web.

Have also used Total Recorder video edition, windows. Doesn't work so 
well on my laptop but I think it is a video memory issue. For audio 
grabs TR works just fine.

What kind of memory is recommended for grabbing from the screen?
