Just to be clear for everyone – internet service interruptions will not prevent
anyone from “continuing solidly onwards” – at least up until the end of their
30 day or annual verification requirement. It is probably only extended
internet interruptions that users become dead in the water. The Adobe website
FAQ states:

Your Creative Cloud desktop applications (such as Adobe® Photoshop® and
Illustrator®) are installed directly on your computer, so you won't need an
ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis.
An Internet connection is required the first time you install and license your
desktop apps, but you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software
license. The desktop apps will attempt to validate your software licenses every
30 days
For annual members, you can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode.
Month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode

Unfortunately, unlike activation/deactivation (for reinstall situations) which
can be performed via a phone call to Adobe, I haven’t heard anyone say that
rental verification and reactivation can be performed via phone, which couldn’t
work unless the verification is accomplished via an updated key that the user
can enter. But no one has said that. Therefore I assume reactivation can only
be done via internet through automatic processes.

Subject: [AP] Calling all NLE users

Surely , one of the biggest false assumptions Adobe make, is that:

1/ We all have adequately fast and dependable internet
( Two of my NLE friends are even stubbornly still on ‘dial-up’)

2/ That there never will be interruption to internet service through, war,
insurrection,
terrorism, government interference. Or even just modem failure.

Those of us still using loaded PP or PS etc would in those cases continue
solidly onwards !
