Becky - So you are saying that there are people at BMC who are being paid
large sums to render misadvice to companies depending upon them
for authoritative information? Oh, the slippery eels in this industry.
As you can tell from prior responses, you haven't seen any
recommendations because there is no reason to cycle the server. All of us
have our servers running indefinitely, performing without incident (barring
product defects which may themselves cause outages). So, no, there is no
need to cycle the server on a regular basis.
On the other hand, there is some cause to cycle your advisors...
