I am not so much concerned about rebooting the physical server but more so
cycling the ADSM/TSM server processes i.e. halting the server and then
bringing it up again.

Any thoughts on that?

Yes, but the worthy advisor encourages you to see a doctor to have your
foot problem resolved, rather than suggesting that you keep your leg
elevated indefinitely.  ;-)
