define a management class, make it not the default, set the archive copy
group to point towards a new storage pool (and I wouldn't even put in a
backup copy group) now you could make this new storage pool, disk, then a
next to tape OR straight to tape... just depends on how many concurrent
client sessions you wish to have.
Now once this is set up, with the archive command, direct the data to this
new management class with the -archmc=_____ of the archive command...
Now you have to be as specific as a file system with the archive command and
I believe when you list objects in a scheduled event you will separate them
by a comma (where as in the command line you use blanks) and with this said,
you would need a specific scheduled event for a specific node since each
scheduled event will list the file spaces of the node.

Subject: Archive Question
Hello all - I have a question on how to do the following:
I have many clients that back up to disk and to tape pools.
I want to archive these same clients.
What I want to do is schedule these archives and send them to an
archive_pool - how do I do this?
In other words - Node A - currently backups up to backup_pool
now I also want to schedule Node A - to do a monthly archive to the
archive_pool.
My goal of sending it to a different pool is so that when the tapes fill up,
I can move them offsite and out of the robot as to not take up so much
storage space. I have about 250 servers - many will need to be archived
monthly and the data kept offsite for about 7 years.
However, since the storage is determined from the management class, I am not
sure how I can accomplish this.
Any help or other ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks
