Dietmar - That message has been seen when the drive is busy at the time,
in use by something else.
I would also advise checking via operating system command that the drive is
fully ready for use, as in the AIX command 'lsdev -Cl rmt_', which should
show the drive Available. If otherwise, check your Atape driver installation,
connections, drive front panel, etc.
